Fishing Report
07/01/2009
The temperature of the lake is now 62 degrees. Fishing has been good
in 100-200 ft. of water. Anywhere from 30-75 ft down. They have been getting
browns, steelhead and some kings. Today I weighed in a 12 lb. 4 oz steelhead.
He is on the LOC Summer derby board in 3rd place. There have been some kings
being reported.
At Point Breeze and the bridges, reports of pan fish and perch.
Some large jack perch are being caught. Mostly on minnows. Some northern
pike are being reported in Johnson, Marsh and Oak Orchard.
We also just got Slimmers. An artificial bait that looks and feels just like a leech.
Give it a try. They are having good results, for all types of fish.
Comes in various sizes and colors. And it is reusable.
On Lake Alice reports are very good. Catching a lot of pan fish.
They are using all the live baits, Leeches, night crawlers, wax worms and
even mousees. Live fatheads and salted minnows with annis scent, for the perch.
We now have crabs and The Bass season opens Saturday (20th). We will have some
soft shells.
We have all the baits. The 24 hour bait machine has night crawlers, red worms,
leeches and minnows. We also have night crawlers, red worms, spikes, mousees
and wax worms inside. The bait in the machine is guaranteed. If you have any problems
let me know. Good luck to you all. Check out our closeouts 1/2 price.
We are official weigh station and ticket agent for all Derbies.
